R&D

Building What Does Not Exist Yet.

Our R&D division is where SpatioFos pushes past the state of the art: engineering the flight systems and robotic platforms that will carry the next decade of autonomous intelligence.

We do not just write software for machines other people build. We are building the machines. SpatioFos R&D is a hands on hardware and autonomy program developing original platforms from airframe up: designed in Australia, engineered for the environments our customers actually face.

Drone Development

Fos Apex Flight System

Drone development from the airframe up.

The Fos Apex Flight System is our in house drone development program: a ground up autonomous flight platform engineered to be the native aircraft of the Fos ecosystem.

Where off the shelf drones force compromises, Apex is designed around our intelligence stack from day one: swarm ready by design, sensor flexible, and built for the demanding inspection and emergency response missions our platforms serve. The goal is simple and ambitious: an aircraft that does not just carry the intelligence, but embodies it.

Program focus

  • Autonomous flight control
  • Swarm native architecture
  • Modular sensor payloads
  • Mission endurance and resilience

Amphibian Rover

Fos Terran

Not every mission ends where the water begins.

Fos Terran is our amphibian rover program: a ground platform engineered to transition between land and water, opening up inspection and sensing missions that neither drones nor conventional rovers can reach.

Think stormwater systems, floodways, dams, wetlands, coastal assets and disaster zones where terrain is unpredictable and access is everything. Terran is being built to go in, gather, and get back, regardless of what is underfoot.

Program focus

  • Amphibious mobility
  • Rugged, field serviceable design
  • Sensor and camera payload integration
  • Autonomous and remote operation modes
